Meet Your Trainers

Jessica Barry

BS, KPA-CPT

Jessica graduated with distinction as a Professional Dog Trainer/Certified Training Partner through Karen Pryor Academy (KPA)’s intensive dog trainer professional program in early 2022. She is a certified Fear Free Professional, licensed Family Paws Instructor and the owner of the award-winning pet care team RCO Pet Care. She recently completed Micheal Shikashio’s Agression in Dogs master course!

Jess graduated magna cum laude with her Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut in 2015. Her animal-centered coursework included animal behavior, health and disease management, anatomy and physiology, advanced nutrition and feeding, genetics, comparative exercise physiology, endocrinology and reproductive physiology.

Her resume also boasts hands-on work experience managing horse farms, working with animals ranging from prairie dogs and bison to South American Primates at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo, as well as care, training and management of domestic animals from hamsters to cows.

Outside of RCO, Jessica has four dogs (Rocco, Luna, Owl and River) and two cats named August and Willow. She enjoys reading, walking and training her own dogs, visiting Disney World and learning as much as she can!

Aubrey Sancho

BS, IAABC-CDBC/ADT, CPDT-KA

Aubrey has a wealth of professional experience training numerous species, including horses, pigs, rats, cats, exotic animals, and, of course, dogs! Her canine experience over the years has included volunteering at a dog shelter in Hartford, completing an internship as a Canine Sanctuary Caregiver, and working as a Kennel Manager for a private facility.

While completing her Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut, she became known by her peers as the student who could train pigs to sit and come when called!

Over the years, she has gained experience working hands-on within clients homes with an array of behavioral complex dogs as well as in teaching puppy and adult group classes. She additionally worked with behaviorally challenged dogs and cats at the Connecticut Humane Society while serving as their Behavior Coordinator.

Clients appreciate Aubrey’s passion, positivity, and her understanding of the scientific principles that underlie animal behavior. Her certifications include being a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant as well as an Accredited Dog Trainer through the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants.

She also holds the title of Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed through the Certification Council of Professional Dog Trainers, is a graduate of Michael Shikashio’s “Aggression in Dogs” course, and is certified in Pet First Aid.

Sandy Lee

CPDT-KA

Sandy found her love of dog training while working with her Bernedoodle, Beau, in 2018. She began her career as a volunteer helping to teach obedience and public access train service dogs!

Sandy continued her education and graduated from a rigorous program through CATCH Canine Academy and is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT). She is an experienced obedience and specialty class trainer, an approved AKC CGC, trick dog, and temperament evaluator as well as an AKC Fit Dog instructor.

Sandy wholeheartedly believes in the science behind and practices positive reinforcement training; and that the human canine bond and connection is key to living harmoniously.

In her spare time, Sandy loves adventures with Beau and her labradoodle Finn, hiking and training for Rally or Agility trials when she’s not busy baking with her adult kids!
